This page details one or more prototype versions of Serious Sam: The First Encounter.

Serious Sam: The First Encounter has a Publisher Evaluation Build and two technology tests that were released before the official game came out. The two technology tests are named Test 1 and Test 2 and were released to the public for testing, while the Publisher Evaluation Build is a build of the game given out to 30 different publishers in the year 2000. This makes the Publisher Evaluation Build the oldest build of the game available online.

Publisher Evaluation Build
A build sent to different publishers. This version has MANY differences from the final version. It's a large undertaking to actually document all the differences.
