This is a sub-page of Proto:Sonic the Hedgehog CD (Sega CD).
This prototype is documented on Hidden Palace.
Ver1.05 is a very late Review prototype of Sonic CD. At this point in the game's development, Sonic CD was nearly finalized, with many bugs from previous builds being fixed. However, there's still some differences left. The build was dumped by drx on December 25, 2017. The build was built on August 1, 1993, about 5 days before the final Japanese version.

Differences
Attract Mode and Menus
- Level Select is activated by pressing Up, Down, Down, Left, Right and B.
- The OPENNING typo in Visual Mode has been fixed.
- Pencil Test has been added.
- D.A Garden was now labeled as D.A GARDEN, in 712 it was labeled as SOUND TEST.
- The controls for the menu are finalized.
- Most of the unused PCM samples for stages were deleted.
- The RAM data screen has been finalized, though save files are still labeled as CDSONIC####.
- The Special Stage demo is actually a demo.
- The broken intro FMV from 712 has been fixed.
- The level select has been finalized.
Gameplay
- Debug Mode is no-longer enabled by default.
- It's now possible to get the good ending.
- It's also possible to get a good future by getting the Time Stones.

Collision Chaos
- A bug was fixed where the past background would glitch at the top right of the level.
Quartz Quadrant
- The boss has the same coloring scheme as earlier prototypes.
- The Bad Future's background was raised in the final game.
- The Good Future's background has been finalized.

Wacky Workbench
- The CD ring formation in Act 3, has been changed to a pyramid.
- The capsule's Y position was raised slightly since 712.
- The secret statue in Act 1 Past now gives you rings.
- The bouncy ground makes sounds now.
Stardust Speedway
- Fixed a bug where the background parallax in the Good Future of Act 3 would glitch out near the end of the race.
- The boss music now plays before Act 3's race starts.
Metallic Madness
- The trapdoors from 510 and 712 have been removed.
- Mini Sonic can fall in two places in Act 2, this was fixed by adding barriers in the final. The collision for two blocks were also reinforced by adding collision at the top and bottom.

Audio
- The Title Screen music has been finalized.
- The Time Travel sound has also been finalized.
- The jump sound which was broken in 712 has been fixed.
- The Super Peel Out now makes sounds.
- Badniks now make the correct sounds when being destroyed.
Special Stages
- Oil slicks have been removed.
Oddities
- There's 4 extra patterns present in Visual Mode, all of which seem to show the progression of the text. This also exists in 712.
