Proto:Sonic the Hedgehog CD (2011)/Sonic the Hedgehog CD Lite

Sonic the Hedgehog CD Lite was a free demo version released for Android devices on June 22, 2012.

• In this version, the corresponding sprite now appears on the title screen in the upper-left corner. Obviously, this is missing from the full version.

• There are only 4 menu tabs available in the menu: Start Game, Help & Options, Soundtrack, and Exit Game.
• Only three stages are available in the game: Palmtree Panic Zone 1, and Quartz Quadrant Zones 2 and Zone 3 (Good Future), with an exclusive icon for the final Zone.
  • These icons can actually be found in the final version's files, along with the Origins version.

• The Stage Select (instead of Save Select) has two Zones, except the boss, open from the start. The two Zones have a time of 10'00'00 from the start. Once the player reaches a cumulative time of or under 01'30'00, Zone 3 of Quartz Quadrant will be unlocked.
  • After completing any of the 3 zones, the player's progress is reset (scores and lives).

Lite	Full / Original

• In addition to the regular options, the pause screen has a Full Game option as well. When tapped, the game will bring up the store page, which will search for games in the com.sega.soniccd cache (after the Sega Forever update, all this brings up is an error).
• This version features a Download Game screen and activates every time after completing any of the three stages. There is also an equivalent screen for the Japanese version.

• The JP music for the D.A. Garden and Time Attack are in the files, obviously unused.
• In version 1.0.4, a Facebook Log In/Log Out tab has been added. A More Games tab also appears on the menu, but it does not work correctly.
