Proto:Spyro: Year of the Dragon/Demo 4/Text and Translations

This is a sub-page of Proto:Spyro: Year of the Dragon/Demo 4.

Despite being quite late in development, a lot of the text relating to menus was still incomplete in this version of the game. In particular, much of the text was still incompletely translated into the other languages.

Each of the sections on this page refer to a different block of text in the code - strings relating to similar in-game functions are grouped together.

Note that as significantly fewer instances of the phrase "TRANSLATION NEEDED" appear than actual text strings to translate, it is unknown which particular strings were entirely missing in any of the non-English languages and which used the "TRANSLATION NEEDED" string instead. As such, some assumptions have been made based upon the placement of the "TRANSLATION NEEDED" strings relative to other missing strings in the area - for example, if in the final game there is a collection of translated variants of a string where in the demo there is only a "TRANSLATION NEEDED" string, it is assumed this string applies to all those that also exist as English text in the demo build.
