This is a sub-page of Proto:Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (SNES).

How about a nice leek in this trying time?
This page or section details content from the July 2020 Nintendo Leak.
Check the July 2020 Nintendo Leak category for more pages also sourced from this material.

Included in the July 2020 Nintendo leak is what appears to be a late prototype of Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. This build is located within the The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past source at SFC\ソースデータ\ゼルダの伝説神々のトライフォース\ドイツ_PAL\Ger_asm. There are four .hex files named st20, st21, st22, and st23 which need to be combined together. This can be done using a hex editor.

General Differences

Hmmm...
To do:
  • Check for more differences such as in text and graphics.
  • Is the Graphic Viewer present?

Title Screen

  • Attract mode demo fights appear to start slightly earlier, and play out slightly differently. For example, Ryu vs. Zangief's fight is a bit more evenly played out in terms of damage dealt.

Credits

  • Upon beating the game, the "THANKS FOR PLAYING!!" message appears, but immediately after the music ends the screen fades out and returns to the title screen. Normally, the game waits for player input, then shows the high scores before returning to the title screen.
  • Beating the game on the highest difficulty does not play the special credits sequence.
