This page details one or more prototype versions of Tetris (Windows, Microsoft, 1990).
To do: Compare more differences between this and the final. |
This page is rather stubbly and could use some expansion. Are you a bad enough dude to rescue this article? |
This article is a work in progress. ...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes. |
The earliest prototype of Tetris, made in 1989 by Dave Edson. It seems to be in mid-development and lacks a lot of features.
General Differences
To do: Add an actual comparison with images. |
- Unlike the final version, the graphics are more simple in the prototype. On 256-color drivers, the colors appear well, unlike the final game.
- The menu is a lot more simpler than the final.
- The backgrounds are only colors instead of bitmaps, some which need 256 color drivers in order to appear correctly.
