Proto:The Ring: Terror's Realm
This page details one or more prototype versions of The Ring: Terror's Realm.
A prototype for the North American localisation, dated May 25th 2000. Other than the script being translated, there are minimal changes between the Japanese version of the game and the North American, and the main difference between this prototype and the North American release are fixes to spelling and grammar errors. There are a few other changes too though.
Weapon Manufacturer Names
The prototype has the names of real gun manufacturers in item descriptions. These were given slight changes in the finished version. Benelli was changed to Banelli, Steyr was changed to Styr or Stayr (the final game is inconsistent) and Chartered Industry of Singapore was changed to Chart Industry of Singapore (the actual name of the real company is Chartered Industries of Singapore).
