This is a sub-page of Proto:Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (PlayStation).

Although the build date of the standalone disc is June 2nd, 2000, the version included with Jampack Summer 2K has a build date of April 13th, 2000. Thus, making this the earliest known demo of the game.

Differences Between Versions

The Jampack Summer 2K demo has a unique feature: When the player reaches a certain score in the Jampack demo, the high score screen would show a password the player could enter online to qualify for the "Big Score Competition" held by Activision about a month later.

This was removed from the standalone disc, but the two demos are otherwise identical.

General Differences

  • The Neversoft logo is the same as in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater.
  • "2 Player" is called "Multiplayer" on the main menu.
  • Only single session, 2 player, and the park editor are available.
  • The manual stat is called "Invert".
  • Cannot place gaps with the park editor.

Marseilles

  • The secret area is locked off with a fence with "Work in Progress" labels. Accessing it also gives the player 500 point pick-ups.
