This page details one or more prototype versions of Turrican (Commodore 64).

Hmmm...
To do:
Compare any in-game differences. There's also cracks of a later demo that uses the final name; document it and find the original source.

In the January 1990 edition of the German magazine 64'er, a demo of Turrican was released under its original working title of Hurrican.

General Differences

The demo uses a version of "Burning Heat" from Gradius II as its only track, rather than any of the final game's actual soundtrack.

When booting the demo, you're shown a unique title/intro screen featuring a scrolling message from programmer Manfred Trenz, welcoming you to the game and giving you a brief rundown of the controls.

Comparing the two versions of the logo, the final "T" is much less basic-looking than the "H" in "Hurrican", and the "aN" at the end was also adjusted to match.
