This is a sub-page of Proto:Unreal Tournament (PC, 1999)/Version 222/Deathmatch Levels.

Textures

DM-Peak’s walls use completely different textures in v222. Every wall in the level uses the same dark brick texture. The final game adds a lot of texture diversity to the level, such as by making the exterior use a much lighter grey brick texture, the interior use a brownish brick texture, and the Ripper room use a dirty stone texture.

Flak Cannon Pillar

There is a pillar in front of the Flak Cannon in v222. It was likely removed so that it is easier to grab the Flak Cannon.

Wooden Beam

The wooden beam in the very small room next to the Shock Rifle and Shield Belt room is in the middle of the right wall in v222, but next to the exit to the outside area in the final game. It was likely moved so that players wouldn’t ram into the wooden beam while fighting and get killed because of it.

Broken Brick

There isn't a broken brick on the edge of the very small room when it connects to the Shock Rifle room.

Pulse Gun

In v222, the Rocket Launcher and Rocket ammo are a Pulse Gun and Pulse Gun ammo, respectively. However, the items are arranged differently than the Rocket Launcher and Rocket ammo are in the final game. There is Pulse Gun ammo where the Rocket Launcher is in the final game. The ammo itself is closer to the edge than the Rocket Launcher is in the final version of DM-Peak. The Pulse Gun is to the right of the Body Armor, which has been moved left a bit to make room for the Pulse Gun. The Rocket ammo inside the top floor is Pulse Gun ammo.

Rocket Launcher

On the other hand, the Rocket Launcher is in the tower that the Pulse Gun is located in the final game. It seems the developers swapped the Pulse Gun and Rocket Launcher’s positions sometime between v222 and the final game.

Extra Pulse Gun Ammo

There is a Pulse Gun ammo pickup on the same slope the single bullet ammo box is located on. The final game removed the Pulse Gun ammo pickup.

Body Armor

V222’s take on DM-Peak has the Body Armor on the top floor moved to the left in order to make room for Pulse Gun ammo. The final game removes the Pulse Gun ammo and centers the Body Armor.

Minigun

The Minigun is slightly closer to the wall and notably closer to the bullet ammo box next to it than it is in the final version of the level.

The only weapon that rotates in v222’s DM-Peak is the BioRifle.
