This is a sub-page of Proto:Unreal Tournament (PC, 1999)/Version 222/Deathmatch Levels.

Pressure Chamber

The Pressure Chamber has quite a few differences in v222. First, the chamber is much smaller than it is in the final game. The Rocket Launcher and ammo are instead a Minigun and bullet ammo boxes. The UDamage on the right is missing, but the Shield Belt is still there. However, the Shield Belt is not on a raised floor, like it is in the final game.

Lighting

DM-Pressure is darker in v222 than it is in the final game. The most obvious lighting differences are in the rafters, near the recycle bin in the Skaarj logos room, and the sides of the pressure chamber.

Recycle Bins and Barrels

This version of DM-Pressure lacks the recycle bins and barrels scattered throughout the level.

Pipe Props

The pipe props seen near areas like the pressure chamber are missing.

Sniper Rifle and Ammo

In v222, there is a Sniper Rifle in the hallway that leads to the water tanks and Sniper Rifle ammo can be found in certain parts of the level, such as the secret area with the Flak Cannon. The final version removes all of these.

Pulse Gun Hallway

The tight hallway with the Pulse Gun and Health Vials is not in this version of the level.

Pulse Gun

Because the hallway is missing in v222, the Pulse Gun and the nearby two boxes of Pulse Gun ammo are in front of where the entrance to the hallway from rafters would be instead.

Wall Near Pressure Chamber

The wall on the pressure chamber uses the same brick texture that the rest of the room uses in v222. The final game changes it to a different brick texture mixed with a rusting metal texture for some reason.

Metal Beams

The metal beams use a dark grey metal texture instead of a texture that makes them look like real metal beams.

Stairs Near Upper Rocket Launcher

The stairs near the upper Rocket Launcher use a dark grey, stone-like texture instead of the tan metal used in the final. In addition, the last step uses the same texture the floor does, not the texture the rest of the stairs use.

Wall in the Skaarj Logos Room

The walls behind the crates in the Skaarj logos room use the same texture the rest of the level's walls use in v222. The final game's version of these walls use a lighter brick texture with differently-shaped bricks.

Pillars Near the Entrance to the Water Tank Hallway

The pillars next to the rafters that lead to the water tank hallway are different in this version. First, there are four pillars instead of two. The hallways are arranged so that there are pillars where there would be none in the final game, but there isn’t a pillar where there should be one in the final game. This means that the side of the slope that is used to reach the water tank hallway cannot be seen.

Slope Connecting the Water Tank Hallway

In v222, a staircase is used to access the hallway that leads to the water tank, not a slope.

Hallway to the Water Tank

The hallway that leads to the water tank does not have any Health Vials in it. Instead, there is a Sniper Rifle around the mid-point.

Rocket Launcher

There is a Rocket Launcher and two Rocket ammo packs to the right of where the Minigun and bullet ammo boxes are in the final game. It seems likely that the Minigun and pressure chamber Rocket Launcher had originally switched places at one point, but were swapped to their final configuration sometime down the line.

Pressure Chamber Medkits

There are two Medkits on top of the pressure chamber instead of three.

Unrealtournament222pressurechambertop.png Unrealtournamentfinalpressurechambertop.png

Water Tank Medkit

There is a Medkit on the left side of the window on the water tank in the pressure chamber room. It looks like this Medkit was moved to the top of the pressure chamber in the final version, as both versions of the pressure chamber room have the same amount of Medkits, but one of them is placed differently.

Upper Rocket Launcher

The Rocket Launcher on the top floor of the level has two Rocket ammo packs near it in v222.

Medkits Near Recycle Bin

In v222, the Medkits near the bin on the floor with the Skaarj logo are further apart in v222. The final game puts them closer together because a recycle bin is where one of the Medkits are in v222.
