For some reason, the exact number of blocks that needed to be freed to install the update was removed; it is worth noting that the X is improper string interpolation and would not easily work without directly replacing it once loaded.

Seems slightly dubious that Nintendo could fix your Internet connection for you over the phone, but I guess some users were so hapless as to not be able to connect their Wii to the Internet to update it.

The latter is merely a placeholder for an untranslated string. For some reason the Nunchuk is called the "Nunchaku".
Strings added in 1.0
There are several strings that are simply not present in 1.0 RC1.
Wii Message Board data was corrupted. The data has been repaired, but some messages or addresses may have been lost.

This string was never used - not even in Wii Menu 1.0. Perhaps the "launch it at 2.0" plan was only very briefly instituted?
There are no updates available for this Wii since it already has the most current system software.
It appears, based on the large number of nonexistent update-related strings, that the update functionality was substantially unfinished in 1.0 RC1.
