How about a nice leek in this trying time?

This cactus is UNDER CONSTRUCTION
This article is a work in progress.
...Well, all the articles here are, in a way. But this one moreso, and the article may contain incomplete information and editor's notes.
Hmmm...
To do:
Check if it's possible to spawn in any unused objects or enter any unused levels. Currently, it doesn't seem like it.

On September 9, 2020, a small portion of the DSiWare lotchecks was leaked onto 4chan's /ppg/ general thread. Among the contents were two builds of 3D Space Tank.

The builds are stored in generic.7z\DSiWareROM.rar\DSi_Ware RO\20100603\SPD-03874_digiQ-x\, with x_dsi_TwlRomSymbol_2010_0204_1646_r32157.tad being a debug build and TKDXJ00.tad being a final build with a small mistake that was quickly rectified. A debug DSi console is required to install the game.

Build Date Name

Slightly different, with both having been built just minutes before the release build.

Debug Pre-EU Final (Europe)
Version workshop04 100204 16:45
Version workshop04 100204 16:49
Version workshop04 100204 16:51

The application title is different as well, with the debug build having more info and the pre-final European build using the Japanese title data:

Debug Pre-EU / Final (Japan)

Debug Menu

DSi-3DSpaceTank-DebugMenu-1.png

In the debug build, at any point in the game hold Select + Left simultaneously to pause the game and open a debug menu while the top screen flickers between the top and bottom screens. From here, you can manipulate the game to skip to levels, view game stats, spawn objects and enemies, listen to sound files, and all your typical debug menu fare.

Debug Menu Commands

Crash Handler

In the debug build, if the game happens to crash at some point due to various reasons, the music will freeze and display a crashlog on the Top Screen, with function and file references. After that, the user needs to hard reset the DSi by holding Power for 5 seconds. It's also possible to trigger a more basic crash screen with less information.

Glitched Instruction Manual

For some reason, the instruction manual appears to be glitched in both builds, showing a pattern of what the manual is trying to read as images and text. On top of that, the debug build contains three manual files for their respective regions.
