Buzz's Dungeon is the name of the first boss battle, not a removed or renamed level. Interestingly, the Spyro 2 level "Cloud Temples" was originally called "Mystic City", so perhaps that's where the initial inspiration of "Cloud City" came from. There's bound to be more stuff hidden within the demo too, in the later demo of the game there's a hidden "exit area" option in the start menu that can be revealed through hacking in the skateboarding part of Sunny Villa - normally you wouldn't be able to enter the rest of the level so it's interesting that it exists in the data. Apparently it's also possible to leave the area in the earlier demo and it reveals a few design changes from the final game, including an indentation in the floor from where, in an early screenshot of the game, there was a fountain. --Hwd45 (talk) 19:21, 12 May 2015 (GMT)
Upon further inspection I've noticed a one-to-one correspondence with the order of the levels in the text string in another version of the game, and the one present in this demo. The named levels are all in exactly the same positions in the text string in both versions, which leads the rest of the levels as:
Prototype Name Probable Final Name
Cloud City Cloud Spires
Level 27 Spike's Arena
Level 28 Spider Town
Honeycomb Speedway Honey Speedway
Level 37 Scorch's Pit
Level 38 Starfish Reef
Catacomb Caverns Haunted Tomb
Dry Gulch Dino Mines
Level 47 Sorceress's Lair
Level 48 Bugbot Factory
Level 50 Super Bonus Round

I wonder what happened to level 49? --Hwd45 (talk) 17:52, 15 May 2015 (GMT)

I've also just found the following strings which may or may not be in the final game:

Guidebook

Since there's no Guidebook in the game - rather, it was replaced by the Atlas and is totally inaccessible in the demo, this goes unused. This probably isn't in the final game and it appears absent in later demos.

F*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck f*ck - out of memory for book vram

This string appears shortly after the previous one - though without the asterisks. Again, this doesn't seem to appear in other versions of the game.

Egg along the wall

In later versions of the game this was replaced with "Run along the wall".

We can also note that in this version the strings "Sparx Worlds" and "Super Bonus Worlds" (and the erroneous string "Super Bogus Worlds" - perhaps an in-joke) are entirely absent from this version. I think this is enough new information to consider adding to the main page, I just need confirmation that none of these strings are present in the final version of the game. --Hwd45 (talk) 18:08, 15 May 2015 (GMT)

Timeline

Having some sort of timeline like this, outlining when these trailers date from and what point in the game's development they reflect, would be useful and informative! Any chance you might be willing to add this info, Hwd45‎? Thanks for all your hard work on these pages, by the way! It's been interesting to read.

I could look into it - Spyro 3 had a really short development cycle, and it's hard to tell when each demo was built (there doesn't seem to be any trace of build dates, either), though by comparing the differences in each of the four demos of the game (I think there might be a fifth one too... I've seen videos of it and I'm sure I used to have it but I can't find it anymore. It looks similar to the Crash Bash secret demo so it might be from the same build as that one), you can get a good idea of roughly where each game fell in the development cycle. There's also at least one trailer of the game (maybe more? I've only ever found one though) which falls somewhere in the middle of the cycle. Right now I'm finishing up a huge list of differences between the demos which I'll use to clean up these pages, and then maybe construct a rough development timeline too. I'm super glad you're enjoying my contributions though! That makes me very happy to hear. --Hwd45 (talk) 02:59, 30 June 2016 (BST)
It definitely hasn't gone unnoticed! Looking forward to seeing your future contributions. Even a rough timeline would be cool, it would help me get a better sense of how all the demos and trailers fit together. :) --GlitterBerri (talk) 22:11, 29 June 2016 (EDT)
