Resident Evil 2 (PlayStation)/Supplies Regional Differences
This is a sub-page of Resident Evil 2 (PlayStation)/Supplies Regional Differences.
Supplies placement varies heavily between the Japanese and international versions; the latter being more generous in quantity, with the drawback being that some of them are either invisible or meticulously hidden in spots (such as behind furniture, banisters, corners, etc. anywhere that's (in)conveniently obscured by the camera angle). The player would have to blindly search everywhere for them persistently. In the Japanese version, the vast majority of supplies are simply visible, with some at a different spot, and only a couple being hidden altogether.
A few examples below starting with Leon's A scenario, though there are more.
Leon A
Please elaborate. Having more detail is always a good thing. Specifically: Other spots that show this in the other scenarios would be great.. |
In Leon A, there are 390 Handgun Bullets and 98 Shotgun Shells to pick-up in the international versions, versus 345 Handgun Bullets and 98 Shotgun Shells in the Japanese version (+ 15 H.Gun Bullets and 7 Shotgun Shells in either version when counting the ammo on the cable car platform that may or may not appear). In that same scenario, there are also 3 more Green Herbs and 1 more F. Aid Spray in the international versions. The international versions is more generous with supplies at the start of the game.
