Hmmm...
To do:
Quite a few stuff;
  • Earlier and unfinished models of green-wearing Saints.
  • Unused voice lines and some mission objectives.
  • Collision oddities on rooftops
  • Unused Textures [1]
  • Three demo versions to cover, dating the final game by weeks and containing several changes.
  • PlayStation 3 button prompts from the post-E3 builds
  • Unused vehicle
  • Unused Fer de Lance vehicle variants
  • Japanese version changes.
  • Unused Areas;
    • Hotel in Barrio District.
    • Blown-up hole inside Stilwater Police Precinct 4 in Barrio District.
  • Hidden lower part of the building near the On Track club.

Saints Row takes the usual open-world crime-ridden Grand Theft Auto formula, this time with a bigger emphasis on street gangs and customization. Despite it not aging well in several instances and being locked to a singular console, its still considered to be addictive.

Graphics exist for singular gang-owned cars that were meant to be used on unlock screens, before they were replaced in sets of four.

Unused Text

Salting The Wound Post-Mission Briefing

The game's final "mission" contains text which isn't normally seen due to the game not saving afterwards.

The call from Alderman Hughes regarding the recent death of Police Chief Monroe isn't sitting well. Being the only gang left in town, perhaps Hughes thinks he can buy your loyalty. Or perhaps he just wants to threaten the Saints into leaving. Regardless of his motives, you've fought hard to run this city and nobody will stand in your way...

Judging from the tense of this text, it was likely intended to show before the yacht explosion in the mission.

Oddities

Hmmm...
To do:
There's more; Rebedaux earlier name

Hidden Final Mission Name

The final mission in the game has an unused title called "Saints and Martyrs", which cannot be seen at all, as it only consists of a cutscene called Salting The Wound, leaving many players to believe that this was the mission's actual title.

Hidden Texture

A hidden door texture can be found on the rooftop of Hapton Hotel, which isn't normally viewable via a glitch. It would be functional in Saints Row 2, with the addition of helipads.

Freckle Bitch's Logo Oddity

Sign Texture Billboard Texture (Cropped)
SR1 FastFoodSignTexture.png SR1 FastFoodBillboardTexture.png

Two versions of the Freckle Bitch's logo exist throughout the game. the texture on the sign and menu shows the girl with pigtails and blush on her face while all the other textures has her with long hair and earrings without freckles on the face. This was likely changed so the mascot would resemble Wendy's a lot less to avoid any legal issues.

Strangely enough, the oddity remained in Saints Row 2 where additionally the mascot's original design herself ended up becoming a pedestrian.
