Sakura Taisen: Hanagumi Taisen Columns is in fact, the first Columns game for the Sega Saturn and one of several spin-off titles in the Sakura Wars series, which fuses Sakura Wars' innovative LIPS system and characters with Sega's classic gem puzzler.

Flag Editor

Wait at the title screen for a long time until the Sega logo appears. When it begins to appear, QUICKLY press Down, Up, Right, Left, L, R, A, C, X, Start. If entered correctly, a sound will be heard (if the Red Company logo appeared, you were too slow). Then, go back to the title screen and wait until the Sega logo appears again and QUICKLY press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, L, R, L, R before it disappears. If done right, you'll be taken to the flag editor menu.

CD Warning

If you play the disc on a CD player other than a Sega Saturn, a warning featuring the voice of Sakura Shinguji will play.

Sakura: "Dear esteemed guests, when visiting us at the Grand Imperial Theater, we ask that you play this CD on a Sega Saturn. If you play this on any other device, not only will you be unable to reach the Grand Imperial Theater, but you might break your precious CD player as well. This was Sakura Shinguji, on behalf of the Imperial Revue!"
