Sakura Taisen: Hanagumi Taisen Columns 2 is the sequel to Hanagumi Taisen Columns, and the first game from both the Sakura Wars and Columns franchises to be released on the Dreamcast (although for the latter this would be the only outing for that system as well as the last Columns game to be on Sega's hardware) kicking off the Sakura Project 2000, in puzzle game style. Aside from that, its basically the same game, now with all the LIPS system additions and the command system from Sakura Wars 2.

CD Warning

If you play the disc on a CD player other than a Dreamcast, a rather long warning featuring the voice of Ichiro Ogami will play.

Ogami: "Ahh, another busy day packed with guests. The Flower Division's performing 'Shonen Red vs. The Crimson Lizard', a play starring the popular 'Shonen Red' character, and the guests are more excited than ever since the cast competes for the roles each day. There's no way this won't be a hit. As the usher, I'll need to give it my all, too. Huh? Someone's sent me a message? What's this? 'This disc is a Dreamcast disc. This disc contains Dreamcast data, so please don't play this with a CD player.' Is this some kind of code? Doesn't seem like any kind I learned about at the Naval Academy. Sounds like there'll be trouble if we don't do as it says, so we'll need to stay sharp. At any rate, I have to tell the Manager-- I mean, Commander Yoneda about this... But what even is a 'Dreamcast'?"
