Hidden Content
At the cheat menu above, press Select, Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, II, I to reach this odd screen. Press Select to change between the two meters, then Left and Right to adjust the screen's brightness and flashing frequency.
On that mystery screen, press II, Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, II, I to reach an otherwise inaccessible miniature shooting game. The object is simply to survive as long as possible; the game restarts after losing and there is no way out except to reset.

Introduction
The US and JP versions have drastically different intro cutscenes.
- The JP version has a very brief cutscene showing God pulling an egg from...an egg tree, dropping it out of the sky, and having it land on the ground far below, hatching open a pink slinky. This is not elaborated on at any point.
- The US version opens up with a prologue, explaining that a sorceress is planning to conquer the world. It then cuts to said sorceress slowly unleashing her minions (the bosses of the game) from her crystal orb. However, the slinky abruptly shows up in the orb to taunt her and say that it will ruin her plans before showing the level transition screen.
