Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing is a Mario Kart clone featuring SEGA characters... and far from the first time.

Test Tracks

Two are present in the game: "TestTrack" and "phystest". Note that the music present in the two videos is not part of the test tracks, but rather a consequence of copy-pasting the track data into a Seaside Hill-themed course.

Appears to be a test of the racing style map. At the very beginning, one can see a group of rings in the middle of the road. These can be picked up upon contact, but they do nothing. There are also instances where these objects spawn as fruits such as apples or pineapples.

Likely a physics test track, based on the name. Much of the collision data is broken, but it is still somewhat playable. One can suppose that this map laid the ground work for what would become the game's "battle mode".

Top Box Placeholder

An unused, generic placeholder, as you can see.

License Top Box

A top box for the license option. Instead, it just shows your license. Note that Lifetime Miles are called "Race Points".

Unused Game Logos

Unused logos, from other SEGA games. Given what's here, it's likely they're just leftovers from SEGA Superstars Tennis. (or not?)
