The game has a debug mode and subsequent menu that can be accessed during gameplay in replace of pause. To enable debug mode, modify the word value at DS:00DA with the value 0x01. Alternatively, you may apply the IPS patch for a permanent solution in which it modifies the instruction at F:0A36 from mov word ptr ds:0DAh, 0 to mov word ptr ds:0DAh, 1.
