This is a sub-page of Splatoon 2.

Map Thumbnails

Splatoon-2-Kawa-Map-Preview-Large.png Splatoon-2-Kawa-Map-Preview-Small.png

Large and small preview images for a map named Kawa00, which would later be released as Snapper Canal. Various parts are textured with an orange placeholder X mark. An axis pivot is visible in the distance. The aiming reticle is still present, indicating this may have been a thumbnail captured for DbgSetting originally.

Splatoon-2-Pillar-Map-Preview-Large.png Splatoon-2-Pillar-Map-Preview-Small.png

Early preview images for a map named Pillar00, which would later be released as Manta Maria. The boat is (mostly) textured with a blue placeholder X mark. The spawn point seems to be placed incorrectly.

Splatfest

Splatoon-2-Dummy-Rice-Icon.png Splatoon-2-Dummy-Bread-Icon.png

The rice and bread icons that were used in a Splatfest in Splatoon. These are used as dummy images in Splatoon 2.

Splatoon-2-Splatfest-Dummy.png

A dummy Splatfest image offering a hearty fight between eggs and omelettes. This face-off has not appeared in Splatoon or Splatoon 2. Also, the artstyle doesn't resemble something that would be seen in a Splatoon 2 Splatfest.

Splatoon-2-Placeholder-Maruchan-Large.png Splatoon-2-Placeholder-Maruchan-Small.png

Images for the Japanese-exclusive Red Fox / Green Tanuki Maruchan ramen Splatfest in Splatoon. These are leftover inside the Splatfest Terminal model.

Ability Tickets

Hmmm...
To do:
Compare final versions.

Splatoon-2-Ability-Ticket-Temp-3.png

Placeholder ability tickets. Each one has "temporary" written on it in red and white.

Octo Expansion

Unused mem cake

Splatoon 3 test mem cake.png

An otherwise-unseen Sanitized Octotrooper icon called "test" can be found among the mem cake textures. Its departure from the rest of the mem cakes' stylized designs suggest this texture is nothing more than a test file. Interestingly, this icon's color scheme slightly differs from that of the Sanitized Octotroopers seen in-game.

Fish_Octa textures

The unused model "Fish_Octa" contains four textures with no accompanying model data.

Sake

Splatoon 2 Sake.png

A Salmonid icon texture, similar to the ones seen in the background of the Salmon Run matchmaking screen. A duplicate of this texture called "Simple" also exists. Its filename has to do with the Salmonids' Japanese name being "shake".

PoolingBigFish

Splatoon 2 PoolingBigFish.png

Another Salmonid icon texture, except it oddly doesn't have a face.

Test

Beta Final
Splatoon 2 Test.png Splatoon 2 Mint Dakroniks mem cake.png

An earlier version of the Mint Dakroniks mem cake texture.

Miscellaneous

Hmmm...
To do:
Need to find what file this texture is in

Splatoon-2-Icon-Test.png

"fkd_icon_test". Punk's not dead.

Squid Beatz 2 Bronze Medal.png

A bronze badge found in Squid Beatz 2's layout file. Only the silver and gold ones are used in the final game.
