SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox)/Unused Animations

This is a sub-page of SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom (GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox).

Most of the NPCs in Battle for Bikini Bottom have walking animations despite never using them at any point; instead, they stand in the same place throughout the entire game. This suggests that the NPCs were meant to pace around rather then stand in one place. In addition to these unused walking cycles, there are also some other idle animations for the NPCs and bosses that are never seen in-game.

Mrs. Puff

An unused walking animations. It looks as if she was intended to run away from something, perhaps from nearby robots in areas such as Downtown Bikini Bottom.

Two unseen idle animations of a similar nervous energy.

Gary

Bubble Buddy

Sandy

Sandy has an NPC pain animation that cannot normally be seen. It cannot be triggered in the Treedome level, as the Sandy NPC there has a different model. It can be seen in the unused Robo-SpongeBob phase.

sandy_extraidle01.anm

In the unused Patrick's Dream level, there is an unused idle animation of Sandy doing push-ups not present anywhere else.

Mime

mime_fish_hit01.anm

An unused animation for hitting the mime outside the Krusty Krab. This is impossible in-game, as he's outside of the player's range behind the glass.

Enemies and Bosses

Ham-Mer

An early version of the Ham-Mer's attack animation found in the early Goo Lagoon levels. It's slower and less cartoonishly exaggerated than the final animation.

Robo-Patrick

Robo-SpongeBob

An unused idle animation of him doing the robot dance.

A few alternate idle animations for the unused "MuscleBob" boss, where he flexes and kisses his Anchor Arms. There's a variant of this animation where MuscleBob's arms have been deflated. There are also animations for a "Rumble" taunt, where MuscleBob slams his chest repeatedly. It also has a variant without muscles.
