Funky Kong the gorilla from the first game returns to rescue his girlfriend by going through a bunch of glorified Turbo Tunnel levels (and a couple shark underwater levels strangely reminiscent of DKC1's water levels...).

Unused Graphics

T&c2 air text.png

This text is found in PPU during the shark levels. While you do have a health meter that is replenished by returning to the surface, this HUD bit is never used to indicate as such, nor does said health meter ever deplete when you are underwater - you're generally too busy getting attacked by the hyper-aggressive sea life anyway.

T&C2 parachute tile.png T&C2 parachute final.png
The opening cutscene features Thrilla parachuting out of a plane over Africa. A piece of his parachute, by error, is missing from the sprite of his highest altitude.
T&C2 parachute fixed.png
This is what the sprite should look like.

T&C2 unknown powerup.png
Whatever this is, it's loaded into the surfing levels' PPU bank in the same tile space as the invincibility powerup from the skateboarding levels' bank. This powerup is never placed in any surfing level, and true enough, hacking Thrilla to use the invincibility powerup in a surfing level results in glitchy behavior. Presumably this would also have granted invincibility, but it is never used.
