More early version stuff and unused content. Source: https://project-imas.wiki/THE_iDOLM@STER_2#Pre-release_and_unused_content

In THE iDOLM@STER 2, a group of three idols named Ryuuguu Komachi was created. A former idol Ritsuko Akizuki created Ryuuguu Komachi to have the three girls become popular. Meanwhile, the other girls haven't became as popular as the group, so you must manage each girl's tension, produce songs, and aim for the Idol Academy title by creating your own trio idol unit.

Notable for also being the first game in the series to feature Jupiter (a group of three male idols), with THE iDOLM@STER Dearly Stars being the first game to feature a male idol as such.

Imas2-ICON0.PNG

Present in the PlayStation 3 version, there is a save icon of two idols that looks like Reika Kitakami and Momoko Suou (who was originally called Rinko in early stages of development) respectively, neither of which wouldn't appear in the series until THE iDOLM@STER Million Live!.

Costumes

You can't actually use spring/summer or autumn/winter casual outfits during lives, so their descriptions go unused.

Like above, the description for the Mahoroba Yukata goes unused.

Hmmm...
To do:
Check if these costumes have stat changes.

Menu Descriptions

Descriptions for various cut modes that exist in the PS3 version.

Mode that would have let you play as a female producer and produce the male idols.

Gravure mode ended up being released as a separate series of games, named THE iDOLM@STER Gravure for You!.

There was some idol drama DLC in previous games so this would probably be similar.

Some mode where you would spend time with an idol in a small room. It is possible that this is similar to the mode in THE iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls: Starlight Stage, a game that was released in 2015 for mobile devices.

Figure viewing isn't present in this game.

Hmmm...
To do:
I think you might have been able to view figures in a previous game, but I can't remember which one.
