Completely Unused Charts
This section lists files that are completely unused.
001 - AINO_D
A chart file associated with the song Taiko no Tatsujin - Ai no theme.
All of the song's measures had their notes content replaced with the following pattern:

Curiously, the balloon note parameters at measure 44, which are present in the song's used chart (Donderful!), were not erased.
007 - CHAMP_D
A chart file associated with the song WE ARE THE CHAMP~THE NAME OF THE GAME.
It's similar to the song's Normal/Futsuu chart, though there are several differences:
- Measure 6 onwards plays in a slightly faster BPM due to some measure offsets being in slightly lower values. Compared to the used charts, most of CHAMP_D is set to approximately 123.0156 BPM, while the used charts are mostly set to 122.9836.
- The third note in measures 10, 14, 18, 37, 41 and 45 is not a Small Don (ドン), but a Small Ka (カッ). This applies to both players' charts.

011 - CLSR_D
A chart file associated with the song Classic medley (rock-hen).
Compared to the used chart (Hard/Muzukashii and Donderful!), there are only a few differences:
- The Big Don (2P) notes at measures 7 and 29 were originally regular Big Don notes.
- The approximately 3.33 second long balloon note at measure 66 was originally a drumroll section lasting 9.667 beats.

014 - CLSU_D
A chart file associated with the song Classic medley (undoukai-hen).
It is very similar to its Battle chart, though there are a few differences:
- The last Big Don (2P) note at measure 22 was originally just a regular Big Don note.
- There are no balloon notes at measures 52 and 53. In their place are drumroll sections lasting 1.667 and 3.5 beats, respectively.

022 - DRI_D
A chart file associated with the song Susume! Driller.
It is similar to the used chart (Normal/Futsuu, Donderful!), though with some differences:
- The very first measure is placed just slightly earlier than the final game, being positioned at offset 1 instead of 0.
- The Big Don (2P) note at the end of measure 7 was originally just a regular Big Don note.
- From measures 16 through 19, there were originally additional Ka notes on both players' sides.

025
A chart file associated with the song Don-chan ekaki uta.
This file is seemingly from very very early in Taiko 3's development, with many many differences:
- The initial offset (0) and overall BPM (139.7938) values don't match the final game's (27 and 139.9937, respectively).
- There's only 37 measures, compared to the final chart's 60.
- The 1P side consists of a repeating pattern (Don-Ka-Don, Don, Don). The 2P side contains proper chart data, though it only goes up to measure 10. Afterwards, the same pattern in the 1P side is repeated. This proper chart data on the 2P side is an incomplete version of the unused Advanced Branch area in EKAKI_M, the song's Donderful! chart.

027 - EKAKI_D
Another chart file associated with the song Don-chan ekaki uta.
This one is from further in development, and closely resembles the song's used chart (Donderful!). However, there are still some differences:
- All Big Don (2P) notes, which are located in measures 8, 33, and 60, are regular Big Don notes.
- None of the two balloon note sections (measures 20 and 46) were implemented yet. In the first occurrence, there is a drumroll section, and in the second one, regular notes.
- There is a small Don (ドン) note at the start of measure 26, which the final chart doesn't have. Curiously, this was changed back in the series' first console release, Taiko no Tatsujin: Tatacon de Dodon Ga Don, which features this song.
029 - EVA_D
A chart file associated with the song Zankoku no tenshi no these.
This file contains early versions of what later became the song's Normal/Futsuu chart. The 1P side is from much earlier in development, and contains many different patterns which follow more closely the song's vocals. The 2P side is from further in development, though still has some differences in the patterning. Additionally, the overall BPM of most of the song is higher as well, being 128.0345 against the final chart's 127.9609.
036 - GAKU_D
A chart file associated with the song Gakuen tengoku.
It contains a slightly earlier version of the song's Normal/Futsuu chart. While there are no differences on the notes themselves, some of the note lyrics are different:
- The first Small Don (ドン) notes at measures 51 and 53 were originally marked as "ド".
- The last two Small Don notes at measures 58, 59, 60, 62, and 63 were originally marked as "ド" and "コ", rather than "ドン" and "ド", respectively.
053 - JOHNY_D
A chart file associated with the song Naminori Johnny.
It contains a slightly different version of the song's Normal/Futsuu chart, with differences in its note lyrics and sync:
- The chart's average BPM is 138.0854, compared to the final's 138.0578.
- All Small Don notes from measures 8 to 11 and 16 to 19, as well as the last two Small Don notes in measures 12 and 13, are marked as "ドン" in the early chart.
- The last Small Don note in measures 20 and 21 are marked as "ドン" in the early chart.
- The second Small Don note from measures 24 to 27 is marked as "ドン" rather than "ド".
- All Small Don notes from measures 28 to 30 are marked as "ドン" in the early chart.
- The second and third Small Don notes in measure 31 are marked as "コ" in the early chart. Additionally, the second to last Small Don note in the same measure is marked as "ドン" rather than "ド".
- All Small Don notes from measure 32 are marked as "ドン".
057 - KOKOO_D
A chart file associated with the song Taiko samurai.
It contains an earlier version of the song's used (Hard/Muzukashii) chart, with several minor differences.
- The entire chart is synced 2 units later (for example, if the offset value of a measure is 177 in the used chart, it is 179 in the unused one).
- All drumroll sections are a 24th longer.
- The fourth Small Don notes at measures 47, 49 and 51 are marked as "ドン" rather than "ド".
- The 6-hit, roughly 0.75 second long Balloon note at measure 56 was originally a 1.75 beat long drumroll.

071 - MARI_D
A chart file associated with the song Marionette.
It is very different from any of the used charts, both in terms of sync and patterns. An interesting thing to note is that it seems to use a different notation for what seems to be either Balloon notes or Big Drumrolls, using repeated instances of 1A (which, in the final game, is used for Co-Op Big Ka notes). In the final game, Balloon notes use a lone 1B, while Big Drumroll areas use the ID 17. This is seen at measure 60, which has Balloon note parameters set to 10-hit and 1.5 second, respectively.

075 - MOON_D
A chart file associated with the song Mr.Moonlight.
It is much easier than any of the song's existing charts, and is likely a placeholder. It's worth to mention measure 64 has parameters for a roughly 3.5 second long 20-hit Balloon note, though the measure itself lacks this note.
079 - NAMCO_D
A chart file associated with the song Tanoshii taiko dojo.
It is very similar to the song's Hard/Muzukashii chart, though without any branch transitions and some different patterns. Curiously, the sections of the Advanced and Master branches are also filled in, though there's no way to access them in-game. The differences are as follows:
Visible Differences
- The last Small Don note at measure 12 in both the Normal and Advanced Branches is notated as "ドン" rather than "ド".
- The Big Don notes at measures 22 and 65 were originally regular Big Don notes, rather than Co-op Big Don.
- From measures 23 to 28, and 31 to 34 in the Advanced Branch, the last Small Ka note was originally notated as "カ", much like the Normal Branch, rather than "カッ".
- At measures 27 and 28, the first Small Ka note in the Advanced Branch was originally notated as "カ", rather than "カッ". This also applies to the unseen Master Branch.
- The final two Small Don notes at measure 30 in the Advanced Branch were originally two Big Don notes.

082 - NAMID_D
A chart file associated with the song LOVE namidairo.
The 1P side is very similar to the Normal/Futsuu chart, and only contains differences in some of its note lyrics, while the 2P side is similar to Hard/Muzukashii, and has differences in its patterning as well.
1P/Normal Differences
- All Small Don notes are notated as "ドン".
- All Small Ka notes, save for the first, third, fifth, and seventh notes at measure 34, are notated as "カッ"; these exceptions are notated as "カ".
2P/Hard Differences
- The first and third Small Don notes at measure 4 are marked as "ドン" rather than "ド".
- There is an additional Small Ka (カッ) note at measures 5 and 9, beat 1.25. The one before it, located at beat 1, is also marked as "カ" rather than "カッ". There are also additional Small Ka (カッ) notes at measure 6, beats 2.5 and 3. This note arrangement matches what is seen in measures 10, 41, and 45.

There is also an additional Small Don (ドン) at beat 3.5 which is not seen in the final version.
- The Small Don notes' rhythms at measure 33 and 35 are different; one note placed at beat 2.25 was originally at beat 2, and the Small Don (ドン) note at beat 4 is completely absent in the early chart. 086 - NAO_D
A chart file associated with the song Fuun! Bachio-sensei.
It consists of a slightly earlier version of the song's used (Hard/Muzukashii) chart, with several notable differences:
- Measures 2 to 14 are positioned 2 units later in the unused chart, and 15 to 25, 1 unit later. Conversely, measures 51 to 60 are 1 unit earlier, and 61 onwards, 2 units earlier. This leads to an average BPM of 130.0792, compared to the final game's 130.0575.

It consists of an earlier version of the song's used (Hard/Muzukashii) chart, with many notable differences:
- The roughly 1-second long 6-hit balloon note in measure 4 was originally 20-hit, and lasted for roughly 2 seconds. This causes it to overlap several other notes should it not be hit for too long.

103 - RADIO_D
A chart file associated with the song Radio taisou daiichi.
Compared to the used chart (Easy/Kantan and Donderful!), this unused one is much harder, containing sections that have 16th and 24th notes. However, this early variation is only on the 1P side; the 2P side only consists of a repeated pattern (Ka (カッ), Don (ドン), Don (ドン), Don (ドン)) throughout the song. There are also no Balloon notes at all.
106 - SMOON_D
A chart file associated with the song Moonlight densetsu.
It is an earlier, different version of the song's Easy/Kantan chart. Aside from many patterning differences, the following changes have been noticed:
- The initial offset (288) and average BPM (138.0638) don't match the final game's (289 and 137.992, respectively).
- All Small Don notes are notated as "ドン", and all Small Ka notes are notated as "カッ".
110 - SOUDA_D
A chart file associated with the song Souda! We're ALIVE.
It merely seems to be a placeholder or a test chart, as most of the measures consist of either a single Small Don (ドン) note, a single Small Ka (カッ) note, or four Small Don notes in a row, much like the aforementioned PIK_D.
- Measures containing 1 Small Don: 1-4, 10-12, 18-20, 26-29, 34-37, 42-45, 50-53, 56-59, 64-67
- Measures containing 1 Small Ka: 5-8, 14-17, 22-25, 30-33, 38-41, 46-49, 54-55, 60-63
- Measures containing 4 Small Don: 9, 13, 21
In addition, the average BPM of the unused version is 119.9703, compared to the used charts' 119.9882.
119 - TEL_D
A chart file associated with the song Minimoni. telephone! Ringringring.
The 1P side seems to merely be a placeholder, as the few notes that exist, which are mostly Small Don (ドン) notes, are placed at the beginning of the measures, which in total are 77. The few measures that don't have this note are measures 29 and 38, which contain no notes at all, and 39 and 40, which contain Small Ka (カッ) notes.
The 2P side contains some traces of an early version of the song's Easy/Kantan chart from measures 9 to 16, 21 to 24, 33, 45 to 52, 57 to 60, and 69, with the rest of the measures being identical to the 1P side. The differences between these aforementioned measures is as follows:

- Measures 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 29, 34, 35, 39 to 41, 44 to 46, 49 to 51, 53 to 56, 58 to 61, 63 to 66, 68 to 71, and 73 onwards are synced a unit later in the unused chart.
- The Balloon note parameters in measure 64 are already in place, and match the values seen in the song's Easy/Kantan chart.
122
A chart file associated with the song Mappy ondo.
The first three measures contain 5-hit, 0.167 second long Balloon notes, with the first measure having two, on beats 0 and 2, and the second and third measures having four, one on each beat; this applies to both 1P and 2P sides. Aside from this, the chart is identical to the Donderful! chart.
123 - TRA_D
A chart file associated with the song traveling.
It also seems to be a placeholder/test chart; repeated patterns are observed on the 1P side, while the 2P side, while mostly identical to the 1P side, has some semblances of proper charting:
1P Chart
- From measures 1 to 8, and 49 to 56, the pattern consists of Small Don (ドン) notes at the beginning of each measure (beat 0), and every fourth measure there is a Big Don note at beat 3.
- In all other measures, it's a similar pattern to the previous one, though after the Big Don, the Small Don notes change to Small Ka (カッ). Big Don notes are still observed every fourth measure, which makes the Small Ka switch back to Small Don.
2P Chart
- Measure 18 has two Small Don (ドン) notes at beats 2 and 3.
- There's an additional Small Don note at measure 26, at beat 1.
- Measures 29 and 31 have two Small Don (ド) notes at beats 2.5 and 3, and a Small Ka (カッ) at beat 3.5.
- Measures 30 and 32 have three Small Don (ド) notes at beats 2.5, 3, and 3.5.
- Measures 33 and 35 have two Small Don (ド) notes at beats 0.5 and 1, and a Small Ka (カッ) at beat 1.5.
- Measures 34 and 36 have three Small Don (ド) notes at beats 0.5, 1, and 1.5.
Other Notes
- The entire chart is synced a unit later than the final ones.
- There are balloon parameters at measures 28 and 53, set to a count of 10 hits and a length of roughly 2 seconds. Despite this, there are no Balloon notes in these measures in the final charts; taking in consideration the Easy/Kantan chart, the measures that do are 27, 41, 42, 49, and 50. The balloon in measure 27 has the same parameters as the unused ones, though the other ones are different, being set to 5 hits and 1.333 second.
127 - TTK_D
A chart file associated with the song Hamtaro tottoko uta.
It consists of a slightly earlier version of the song's Normal/Futsuu chart, with a few differences:
- Nearly all Small Don notes are notated as "ドン". The ones that aren't (and are the same as the final chart) are at measures 19, 20, 31, 32, 43 and 44.
- There's an additional Small Don note at measures 13, 15, 25, 27, 37, and 39, placed at beat 3.5.

Repeated Chart
Charts 24, 26, 42, 95 and 131 seem to consist of a test chart, not associated with any song in particular.
Its tempo is set to 240 BPM (approximately 236.851 if measure offsets are also considered), and it doesn't contain any notes up to measure 45. From measures 46 to 50, there is a stream of Small Don notes set to appear every 16th beat. Afterwards, the chart ends.

This chart contains unused Advanced Branch areas on the 2P side, though very few measures are populated; these measures are 8, 9, 20, 21, 32, 33, 34, 39, and 43. Some differences between these areas and the Hard/Muzukashii chart can be noted, as follows:
- There are two additional Small Don notes at measures 8 and 9; one at beat 2, which is notated as "ドン", and another at beat 2.75, notated as "コ". The Small Don note at beat 2.5 was also originally notated as "ド", rather than "ドン".
