Unused Chart Data
Taiko no Tatsujin 4 has 177 chart files, which are used for the game's 48 songs. Of these 177, 33 have branch sections that are otherwise unreachable, though they're mostly the same as what is seen, placeholders, or holdovers from the previous game. They are as follows:
Placeholders
These charts have Advanced branch areas filled in, though they all consist of Small Don notes on each beat:
- Chart 000 - AMA_E (Amairo no kami no otome - Easy/Kantan)
- Chart 040 - FEEL_E (Feel fine! - Easy/Kantan)
- Chart 041 - FEEL_H (Feel fine! - Hard/Muzukashii)
- Chart 043 - FEEL_N (Feel fine! - Normal/Futsuu)
- In the three charts above, the notes are filled up to measure 69; from measure 70, the Advanced branch areas have no notes.
- Chart 092 - MATA_E (Mata koko de aimashou - Easy/Kantan)
- Chart 095 - MATA_N (Mata koko de aimashou - Normal/Futsuu)
- Chart 164 - YEAH_E (Yeah! Meccha holiday - Easy/Kantan)
Same as Normal Branch
These charts have unused or otherwise inaccessible branch areas, though their contents are the same compared to what is seen:

The following files have unused branches which also appear in previous games, or that match their appearance in previous games.
- Chart 007 - ANP_N (Anpanman no march - Normal/Futsuu)
- Chart 005 - ANP_H (Anpanman no march - Hard/Muzukashii)
- While this chart is new, the unused Advanced branch areas are the same as ANP_N.

- Chart 051 - GUTS_H (Guts daze!! - Hard/Muzukashii)

- Chart 141 - TANKO_H (Tankoubushi - Hard/Muzukashii)
- Chart 142, TANKO_M, which is the song's Donderful! chart, has the same unused Advanced branch.
- Chart 162 - TTK_N (Hamtaro tottoko uta - Normal/Futsuu)
Different Unseen Branches
The following charts have unused or otherwise unreachable branch areas that differ slightly from what is seen:
Chart 017 - CUTIE_H
Cutie honey 's Hard/Muzukashii chart. While it has no branch transitions, both Advanced and Master branch areas are filled in; both are completely different from any of the used charts, having more sections that differ between the 1P and 2P sides, and even feature Balloon notes without associated parameters at measures 33, 35, 37, and 38. This data can also be found in Chart 018, CUTIE_M, which is the song's Donderful! chart.
A modified conversion of the Hard chart to the .tja format, which can be read by programs like TJAPlayer3, can be downloaded below. Due to the aforementioned valueless Balloon notes, as well as the lack of branch quotas, artificial values have been added in.

Chart 061 - HOKU_M
Ai wo torimodose!! 's Donderful! chart. While the first branch transition happens at measure 16, both Advanced and Master branches are populated before it. Differences can be found from measure 9, as follows:
- The Advanced Branch has an additional Small Don note at beat 1 of measures 9 and 13, while the Master branch has two additional notes, at beats 0.75 and 1.
- The Master branch has an additional Small Don note at beat 1.75 of measures 10 and 14.

Chart 072 - KATTE_H
Katte ni Sinbad 's Hard/Muzukashii chart. While the first branch transition happens at measure 15, both Advanced and Master branches are populated before it. The latter is identical to what is seen, but the former has a few differences from measures 4 to 6:
- The notes at measure 5 are shifted a 16th earlier in the unused variation, causing one to appear at the end of measure 4:

- The Small Don notes at measure 6 are organized differently: rather than being at beats 0.5, 1.5 and 2, they are at beats 0, 1, and 1.75.

- The second note at measure 9, located at beat 0.5, is shifted a 48th early.

Unused Graphics
Player Entry Screen
Found at offset 0x7F37E4 is an alternate fan graphic meant to be displayed for Player 2 in the Player entry screen, and that has a different font for the text (参加). Rather than displaying this graphic, the game simply displays a palette swap of Player 1's (0x7EB7A4).
