Possible Unused Door

I believe I may have found an unused door texture & model for ACNL.

Door A is a door found at romfs://Strc/dobj/dobj_door_a/dobj_door_a_cut/dobj_door_a_cut.bcres.

Door E is the Hairdresser door found at romfs://Strc/dobj/dobj_door_e/dobj_door_e_cut/dobj_door_e_cut.bcres.

As you can see, each file path is very similar. This leads me to think that Door A is an Unused door for the Hairdresser Shop in Main Street. I've included images of each door below.

I'm posting in Discussion rather than editing the Page as I'm not very experienced with wikis and haven't the time to make it look right. Anyone can feel free to add it for me though.

I'm not too sure how sound this reasoning is. Are there no B, C, or D doors? Is there a further link between A and E? -Ehm (talk) 13:18, 15 June 2017 (EDT)
Nope, there's no B, C or D Hairdresser doors. B, C and D are used only for the different doors for the Nooklings shop. Interestingly, the only door in the E doors is actually the Hairdresser door E. There's no other doors in the E folder.

Net glitch still possible

I think I found a spot where the net glitch is still available. Go to the campground and go behind Harv's chair when he's not in it. Go right behind the chair and try the net glitch towards the shopping porch. Eventually you'll be on the cabin porch. You can go all the way back to the entrance, near the river, and inside the cabin (not actual inside) while out of bounds. When is Harv not in his chair? I tried opening my town for online play since that imposes some limits on the town, but that didn't seem to do it. -Ehm (talk) 20:04, 23 June 2017 (EDT)

Another Unused Door

So I've found another unused door. It looks to be a door for gracie.
It's file path is ROMFS://Strc/dobj/dobj_door_b/dobj_door_b_depart/dobj_door_b_depart.bcres
This door is obviously unused as the animation (dobj_door_b) completely breaks this door yet works fine on the other door (dobj_door_b_homecenter).

Cut Swimming Pool PWP

I noticed there is a blank entry in the game's data for a PWP, suggesting that one was cut from the game. Interestingly, the filename for the Swimming Pool furniture object in HHD is prefixed with "fobj" which is used for all items that were PWPs in New Leaf. PWPs don't exist in HHD, so the prefix is meaningless and evidently a leftover from NL. Seems pretty certain that this is the one that was cut from New Leaf. --Dorsal Axe (talk) 08:59, 1 November 2019 (EDT)

Unused/Inaccessible furniture?

[page] is linked in the regional differences section. It lists all holiday and region specific furniture/items. Are all regional holiday locked items present in other versions of the game? Phrasing in regional differences regarding Japanese/European/American

In the current version of the article, it states the following: "The banking machine has a different name across the Japanese, European, and North American releases." I find this phrasing to be very odd, since the Japanese version is in Japanese, while the European and North American are in English. It should be fairly obvious that Japanese is different from English. It also kinda implies that Japanese is the only language for the Japanese release, and English is the only langauge for the European and North American release. It should rather take all languages into consideration. --Liggliluff (talk) 03:14, 16 July 2020 (UTC)

I also agree. It's nice to have names for pretty much every localized version of a game out there. Take the page for Kirby: Triple Deluxe, for instance. All names being compared to are just Japanese and English, with no mention of any other languages whatsoever. The localizations do exist, it's just they're not mentioned in any capacity. One last thing, the English localizations for North America and Europe/Australia might differ between games and the like. That's why I prefer to use American English and British English to refer to the two of them, whenever multiple English dialects are being compared to. If we added more languages with at least two dialects (like French and Spanish, for instance), it would make sense to do the same thing here as well. – Alderson Productions (talk) 16:35, 16 July 2020 (UTC)
