I'm not sure, but it sounds like whoever started the Unused Objects section is just playing around with the item listings for levels, such as replacing enemies with Gnawty, etc. --Enig-e 10:47, 5 December 2010 (EST)

K. Rool Music

TVTropes[1] claims that: "King K. Rool's final boss music is only heard in Donkey Kong Land if the player finds every secret area in every level of the game beforehand. Otherwise, the regular boss music plays." Can anyone confirm whether this is accurate? --Nicole 14:23, 17 January 2012 (EST)

I've done that and also watched a 100% Speedrun and it doesn't seem to change the music. --GoldS 14:59, 17 January 2012 (EST)

Gameshark Code

Has anyone got a Gameshark code always playing as a certain character (e.g. similar to the Rattly code in DKL3)? Squirreldroid 14:18, 24 October 2012 (EDT)

Donkey Kong Land Metasprite Rips

I've managed to rip most of the metasprites from Donkey Kong Land, but since I'm not especially familiar with the game I can't tell what's unused and what isn't. Anyone who wants to can look through them and add whatever you find to the wiki.

You can find the ripped metasprites here: File:Donkey Kong Land - Ripped Metasprites.zip

These metasprites look suspect, at least to me:

  • 6-28686-30: An animation of a Chomps Jr. dying. I don't think those can ever be killed, though.
  • 6-29542-27: Two small rocks. This is the default metasprite for most invisible objects (warp points, boulder spawners, etc.).

Also, there might be a few invalid metasprites hiding out in there since the heuristic I used to locate most of them is far from perfect.
