Has anyone been able to get access to the dev unit's special bios menu modes on an emulator? Or if they have a dev unit, are they able to take screenshots of them? They're meant to be accessed by setting the rotary switch on the dev unit to non-standard regions. There's also the Katana Self-Checker, which might be suitable to document? Here are descriptions of three I can remember (I do not remember the rotary switch ids):

  1. GD info. Displays lots of disc drive info on screen in the bios menu.
  2. Screensaver test. The screensaver will activate after a very short period of inactivity.
  3. Enables the 3D bios menu.

I no longer have access to a dev unit but I'll poke around in the different bios versions (dev and non-dev) in an emulator to see if they can be accessed that way. Any help is appreciated. Woofmute (talk) 00:29, 12 September 2017 (EDT)
