Unused Himalayas music?

As far as I'm aware, m_stage_himalayas is never used in the game, m_himalayas2 is the music used in the Himalayas stage. MainMemory (talk) 10:52, 9 November 2013 (EST)

I just checked a gameplay video, and it seems you may be right. I ain't sure tho if it is unused. JeanMich02 (talk) 12:09, 9 November 2013 (EST)
Quotes from a WF Sound Designer, posted with permission:
"m_stage_himalayas" is the original version. "m_himalayas2" is the updated version that appeared in the game. The song was updated to better match the other songs in the game in terms of style, because it lacked any chip tune elements, and to shorten certain sections so it would be closer to the NES version.
"m_stage_himalayas" was accidentally used in one of the commercials, but isn't used in the final version of the game.
"deleteme" was put in by a sound designer when we were testing the banks, but he thinks something was being unstable at the time, so they were afraid to actually delete it in the end.
I'm pretty sure the entire TV opening is in there somewhere unused (we modified a version for the credits, but that's different), as well as a song that was from the NES beta...because why wouldn't I put that there. They told me to put in all the NES music, I was following instructions.
m_silence is literally just an empty event I'm pretty sure. And title unlooped I'm almost 100% sure isn't and have no idea why that's there...
Actually, that might be the original NES title that doesn't loop. I had to modify it slightly. As there's no areas with no music I'm fairly sure m_silence was only used in our debug rooms, just so the code would have -something- to load without blowing up. Not 100% sure how the engine handles that, however.
It's possible m_title_unlooped is used in the sound test, but I'm 99% sure it's unused.

Williams

I think the removed entity is actually supposed to be Williams, a bad guy from Double Dragon Neon. It would make sense if they use elements from other games of theirs that run on the same engine to test stuff... // Foxhack 23:30, 25 December 2013 (EST)

More unused content?

The Spriters Resource has unused content not shown here, including a Scrooge and Shantae character select menu based on Mega Man & Bass. --Metalman (talk) 14:22, 11 November 2014 (EST)

Dream and friends

The text "Dream and friends" pop up at the end of the credits if you defeat the game at the hardest difficulty. Not really noteworthy hidden content, but it's a cute reference to the prototype (which does leads me to believe the prototype version of the Transylvania song as intended to be used as a easter egg too at some point though). --Ailure (talk) 16:32, 3 May 2015 (EDT)
