Version differences

It appears there's a version 1.0 and 1.1. Would be interesting to see what the differences are. Dada78641 (talk) 17:52, 18 May 2016 (EDT)

I found this: https://www.gamefaqs.com/boards/197338-final-fantasy-ix/68474374 "
"That would be the Greatest Hits version of the game, which fixed the bug where you can skip a large chunk of the game because of being able to find too many Chocographs too soon and access areas you're not supposed to. There may be other small tweaks and things here and there, but that's definitely the biggest difference." Xanatos (talk) 03:45, 9 September 2017 (EDT)

There's still a few things I need to add to this. There's some unused Moogles that were going to be part of Mognet, unused World Map locations, Alexandria Castle Dungeon text/title, blanked options in the main menu (Save/Debug), Item #FF, gaps in the numerical sequence of battle formations, FMV file names and monster IDs (possible data for all of the 4 guardians instead of just the one you end up fighting - there should be design artwork for these)... Lots of stuff to go through. Later. MissEchelon (talk) 22:20, 1 January 2017 (EST)

Anti-Piracy?

Back in the day, I had this game and if there's one thing I remember about it, is that, while playing on a "pirated" version, the very last Save Block corrupted the save data completely. Not only it couldn't properly save (after several attempts), but it also made the save data completely unusable after turning off the system. Is this an anti-piracy thing or was just an inconvenient thing that happened because it was pirated? Gabrielwoj (talk) 14:39, 11 September 2019 (EDT)
