There is an ingame debug menu, accessed by pressing square (only works in Luca) What you do is go to the Saito test map, and the character above kimarhi and yuna (the character changes every time you enter the room)you press square on that character, select one of the options that warps to Luca, and it will tell you to press "square after map jump" doing so will bring up the debug menu, which has various options from room to room. You can also change your character if you go to kimarhi, and select a certain option, only works in the saito test map and in Luca though. Sorry if I'm very vague with this, it's all on my laptop which I do not have with me, or else I'd provide clear details. If you make a save with the luca debug menu enabled, it can actually be loaded in the final version of the game.

Enclosed mediafire link to a memory card dump from PCxs2, and some screenshots. The data on the file of the memory card can be used on the Final Retail Version of the game, press square to bring up the debug menu,

Cut Buster Sword from FFVII

I'm pretty sure that in this game, there is a cut Buster Sword that was used in testing. I wonder why there is nothing about it in here. --Flodarien 08:15, 2 July 2013 (EDT)

FMV oddities

so I'm currently investigating the way FMVs worked on this game. in particular, I just found out some time ago that any PS2 release of the game beyond Final Fantasy X International had two language tracks (English and Japanese, in that order) for almost every FMV file that was used by the game alone (again, beyond that International version) but only had to use one language track (English) regardless of whichever language the player wanted to play the game on.

i'll bring up some stuff here whenever possible

actually my mistake, the FMV files used on Final Fantasy X International had one language sound track only. sorry.

that aside i'll be investigating FMV files for the (original) Japanese version of the game. what i've got out of them so far is that nearly all of them contain at least one Dolby Digital track.
