Saga Classification

So I saw that Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones was listed under the Elibe Saga, when in fact this game takes place on a different continent than the first two Fire Emblem games on the GBA, the continent of Magvel. Should this be changed? (--Goblinaro 07:58, 31 January 2013 (EST))

Definitely. I mean, if the series are going to be categorized by the universe they exist in (not withstanding theories about world-connexions, especially with the release of FE13), then distinctness need-be retained.

Is Fire Emblem Gaiden on this wiki? In FE13 It's alluded that the worlds of FE1/3 and FE2 are combined, quite strongly, and elsewhere the same-world possibility is suggested. In that case FE1, FE2, and FE3 would all be in the same world but with two distinct continental masses. Again, if we're going to categorize the games by their individual universe, then we ought do so by canon.

Yeah, I guess you're right. Something just struck me as odd when I saw that, and while my knowledge on the FE universe is fairly limited, having played the 3 GBA games and just from random wikia exploring I know that SS didn't have much to do with anything with the other universes (universi?). I had just thought that it would be better to consider correcting that, but since I'm relatively new to editing wikis and wikias outside of minor edits or additions to pre-existing passages, I thought I'd consult others first. I think it's problematic, however, that if we do decided to categorize the series by which universe they exist in, then the most recent Fire Emblem--FE13--complicates the entire ordeal, as it not only (from what I've heard) has time-traveling elements, it also has cross-game elements too, including canon-based elements. Apart from these small nuances, I think I also remember seeing the continent of that FE8 takes place in shown in the world of FE13 (I have not played the game myself, but fansites were showing pictures of the game from the Japanese version).

So what I mean to say, next, is that were TCRF to categorize the series by the worlds they take place in, we may have to do a bit of extra research to make sure we've labeled everything correctly! And I'm not sure if anyone here--or anywhere--really knows how to unravel the series as best as possible without tripping on their, or the game canon's, toes. And I mean, I'm a fan who's pretty familiar with the series, played all of them except FE13, and even then, the potential cross-world idea is so subreferencial at times, yet obvious at others, that to truly capture a correct "order" to the series may involve too much interpretation on our part, than actual explanation by the canon.

So, while I think the categorized-by-world approach can look nicer, perhaps even richer, I'm not sure we'd be doing it an objective and authentic justice to the game mythos. It may not actually seem like that large of an issue, but we are on TCRF after all, and from my time here, it seems the resource would appreciate concrete, objective, authentic information about the game with as little user-based interpretation, conjecture, and justification in the process. I also agree that classifying the games by continents now would be less beneficial with the release of Awakening. So far, while I haven't read anything about Awakening having ties to FE8, I have seen that the continent of Ylisse, the continent that Awakening takes place on, bears many similarities with the continent of Akaneia, and that Ylisse may be the future form of the United Kingdom of Akaneia formed by King Marth (and yes, I got this from the Fire Emblem Wikia). And what supports this further is that Chrom, the main Lord protagonist character of Awakening, is a descendant of Marth himself, and in turn so is his daughter Lucina who appears from the future. And with the appearance of Parion, who claims to be the descendant of Ike and possesses the Ragnell, the continent of Ylisse now also has some ties to Tellius as well as Akaneia which may or may not have been what Ylisse originated from. The Dark Warlords from the Jugdral series also make an appearance in the main storyline of Awakening as well. I think that the games should be categorized by console because if a particular game's article is looked up on this site it can easily be listed to have a direct tie/sequel to another game in the series in the introduction, and any other links/possible ties to other games would not be needed as this wiki does not need the specifics on actual game canon. --(Goblinaro 11:59, 2 February 2013 (EST))

Morva's portrait

Morva, the boss of chapter chapter 20, has a human portrait used in cutscenes at the beginning of that chapter. In the game's files, his portrait includes the mini version that's only used when you place the cursor over a unit on the map. However, as the boss of chapter 20 he is a Draco Zombie and uses that class' portrait instead. He's not a creature campaign character either, so does that mean his mini goes unused?--Sme23 (talk) 20:08, 11 February 2018 (EST)

Yeah, I'm fairly sure the Morva mini portrait is unused. Myrrh also has an alternate mini for her winged portrait that I'm also pretty sure is unused. L95 (talk) 20:18, 11 February 2018 (EST)
