Hmm...

Do note that the box art is really for Game & Watch Gallery; for some reason they're numbered one higher in Australia than everywhere else. (I used the GBG2 box because it's the best quality one I could find.)

Apparently a monochrome version was released only in the US just a few months prior to the GBC print. Wikipedia briefly mentions it, and Mobygames lists a Game Boy version, and also the fact that there is a ROM dump (albeit broken in GBC mode, so it could just be a bad dump) floating around. Gamefaqs has no mention of the Black and White release and I've never seen a copy anywhere. Anyone have any additional information on this release? I also asked on this the Lost Levels forum. At this point I don't think so, been long enough no meaningful response suggests to me it wasn't released. Knowing Nintendo's fanbase we'd have heard if any copies ever hit shelves. Theclaw (talk) 06:15, 21 March 2014 (EDT)
