Lotus Esprit

In the PAL Version of the Game, the Lotus Esprit V8-SE has no Nameplate for some reason. Is that true for the other versions aswell? -Andi36356 (talk) 16:25, 29 June 2014 (EDT)

Prerelease images in the manual?

So I've known this since forever, but would it be worth documenting the probable prerelease image in the manual? I'm including a link to it since I don't want to upload it just yet. http://puu.sh/mAGMk.png Donetsu52 (talk) 16:06, 18 January 2016 (EST)

PAL Version Differences

I own the PAL version of this game, and will happily look for regional differences in this game. NOTE: My copy is a Platinum Hits copy (The European version of Greatest Hits) so there could be a few version differences too. I already have all the license test times for the PAL version, so if you have an NTSC copy, you can compare the times. --SimLola661 (talk) 14:03, 28 June 2018 (EDT)

I have a table of the PAL times here.,

Left

Ending Movies

These need to be noted. The NTSC version shows an endless rally course with other racing shots overlapping it. The PAL version shows shots of gameplay mixed with shots of the British Touring Car Championship, circa 2000 (Just before the second chorus, a pit board with the name Plato is shown. That driver still races today, 18 years on!). They're incomparable, but worth noting none the less.

PAL Revisions

Knowing a bit how releases in PAL area work, regarding a recent edit saying that PAL 2.00 is AUS/NZ release which I doubt, since:

  • Let's start with "SCES-50294-ANZP". I'd get this if it would be "SCES-50294-ANZ/P", which would indicate a Platinum release, as those sometimes have "/P" or "-P" on the disc.
  • Second, if it would be just "ANZ", that would indicate an original revision. If "ANZ#", that would be a definite revision.
  • Then, redump says 2.00 has been encountered with discs having "SCES-50294#", and those I'm sure have been released all over Europe, even in the Nordic area where I am as I've seen some on sale online, though the copy I've found through a flea market is just "SCES-50294", which is the original 1.00. Tried asking from people who have "SCES-50294#", no answers yet, though I have an idea already about what the answer would be. Since if a revision, "#" on the disc indicates a reprint, but also it's a revision if any (haven't seen any exceptions yet). (Yes I know that's 99.something% true, I'm aware that SLES-00023 has "." to indicate a revision.) Wish this stuff would be documented a bit better.

I got this info from pez2k - he did so by looking at the GT3.VOL file. As the dates on GT3.VOL file, there is a recompile in that version for some minor menu stuff. FMecha (talk) 16:02, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
I'm sure the info taken from the game data is correct, I just doubt that the revision 2.00 would be the AUS/NZ release - it of course can be released there as well as the rest of the Europe. But if there's revisions, the revision is usually released everywhere as well. --PSXDRIVERPLAYER OUT. (talk) 16:11, 29 April 2021 (UTC)
