KI2 Unused

Here are my 2012 email exchanges with Chris Tilston, one of the designer and programmer for the game. I won't post my questions, I will only post his answers. Sensitive info will be redacted.

Sorry for the slow reply. Yep I don't check the linked in mail very often.
 
So although I did design all the endings etc for the story - it was a long time ago and my memory is not great Smile emoticon
 
There is a very good chance that the extra endings didn't get tied in and the text was there for them. If I remember rightly we had a really bad deadline of January the 7th so some of us were working on boxing day to get it out of the door on time. So there's a very good chance not everything got tied in properly.
 
If I could get at the code - i'd check and see what all the conditions were, but left rare over 2 years ago.

Yeah left Rare a long time ago - haven't updated my linked in deliberately as working on something secret!
 
So looking at those endings I'd say they never got hooked up and made it into the game. Only way I could tell for sure is if I got hold of the KI2 source code, but that probably not possible.

Possible I guess. Would need someone who had more time available than I have!
 
Even then it would probably get disassembled into assembler - and without comments - so would be tricky to figure out what is going on

The vampire character was originally intended for KI2 - The background artist wanted to make a character because he was bored making backgrounds. After months and months of pestering he had an attempt at a character and unfortunately the quality wasn't good enough so we didn't use it.
