Splitting the Document

This page is getting pretty long (it's giving me that >32 KB warning), and there's still a ways to go. What's the policy on splitting game articles into multiple pages? --GuyPerfect 01:47, 4 February 2012 (EST)

Crash Logs & In-Game Hex Edit

Hmmm...
To do:
De-crapify this stuff and re-add it to the article.

It has been reported that whenever the game crashes (freeze), a menu will pop up shortly after. This menu, contains what looks like an Hex editor. Changing values won't affect the game however. It is beleived it was used to fix crashes because you can see a small box showing why did the game crashed (E.G: The game crashes because too much stars spawned at the same time)

In order to trigger this, people tried the following

1. Go to the debug menu and select the Air Ride mode. 2. Select the stage called POINT1 3. Press start and go where the targets (the points) are. Spawn stars until the game crashes and wait for a few. 4. You can now see the Hex Editor

It was tested on the american version of the game.

Editor's note: Screenshots coming when possible...

Drop Notice odd behavior

I've noticed that in Test7, the drop notice not only activates when Kirby drops below a certain height, but will also appear if Kirby turns around at the start and goes backwards (he can fall off the ledge). This must mean that the notice is not triggered by a set height... WhoIAm 01:52, 18 February 2013 (EST)

Videos featuring unused elements

There are two videos on Youtube that show off the unused rooms. The first, [1], shows all the rooms mentioned in this article, except the one with an unconfigured camera. It also shows that the Drop Notice is an alert that a death plane is near, and blinks faster as the player approaches the plane. The second, [2], shows the unconfigured camera map, but doesn't show the test snow-track. This video also shows three unused machines: a simple wheel, and then the two machines featured in Top Ride for use in Air Ride/City Trial. Since the article is currently a mess, I decided to leave it up to whoever's the main contributor to post them.

Unused Images

While digging in IfAllTMP.dat, I've found these odd images. The first one looks like to be an early Top Ride Result screen. And the second one appears to be Kirby next to a plane machine.

Translation

I just translated the text on the result screen. Somebody be so kind and edit it into the article.

Text on top right:

Grassland of the wind (Literal translation - Seems to be the Grass (草) stage)

Three lap-race
Speed difference: Yes (in final game: player in last place gets speed boost)
Changing terrain (As in "Disabling environmental hazards" on the track?)

Individual stats for every player (the colored boxes):

Maximum speed
Average speed
Movement distance
Spin attacks
Items obtained
Items used
Items connected (Could mean something like "Objects crashed into" - not sure though)
Other parameters (That is literally the text)

Kirby's Air Ride for Nintendo 64?

There's a few promotional videos lying around on the internet from old VHS tapes and E3 reveals. These seem to show that the original Air Ride was on the N64, before being put onto the Gamecube.

Do you think we should add a new prerelease page to show the changes and mark down details about this for the uninformed? --Kaidigem (talk) 12:15, 20 January 2019 (EST)
