Leapster 2 diagnostic screen?

I remember vaguely (as a kid, I had a Leapster 2, so I may have remembered incorrectly) that it had a diagnostics screen similar to the one mentioned. However, I have not an idea how to get there. -SuperRed38 (talk) 13:08, 26 July 2017 (EDT)

I had a Leapster2 as well, and as a kid, I figured out you can get to the diagnostics screen by simply holding down the hint button as the unit powers on (after the health and safety message but before the boot logo). Also, there were some extra debug tools within the menu that could be accessed using button combinations, but I can't remember how to get to those screens. What I do remember however, is that there was a screen that can change the serial number, and one that could calibrate the brightness thingy. I didn't test the serial number one because I feared I would break the system in some way (I was only 5!) steven12398 (talk) 16:54, 21 October 2020 (UTC)

Accessing the diagnostic screen.

I remember when I had an original Leapster years ago, you could hold down all of the buttons on the console, and then power it on. That would force it into the diagnostic menu. I'm not sure if my unit had some issues that caused it, but I could access it. The preceding unsigned comment was added by KryptonMod (talk • contribs)
