Titlescreens

Why are we comparing the Rockman 6 and Mega Man title screens? -_- --BMF54123 20:50, 23 November 2010 (EST)

On this page? That's definitely the Rockman (1) and Mega Man title screens. Rockman 6 doesn't even have a picture of Rock on the title screen. ^_^ --Aoi 21:22, 23 November 2010 (EST) Edit: Oh, I see. Ekkusuman88's original edit accidentally used the Rockman 6 title image, but it was immediately corrected. --Aoi 23:29, 23 November 2010 (EST)

Yeah, sorry for the misunderstanding. ^^'--Ekkusuman88 18:25, 1 December 2010 (EST)

Flipped tile

I noticed that in the ending's cutscene where Wily falls off of his ship, one of his tiles is flipped by accident. Should this be added? I'm pretty new and I don't know should I add this or not. -DBM (talk) 07:28, 15 June 2016 (EDT)

Altered Title Screens in the Legacy Collection?

The other day, I noticed that both of the Mega Man Legacy Collections had strange alterations to every game's title screens (except MM5). I'm just wondering if that difference (along with possibly the title screen changes in Anniversary Collection) should be added to each game's page? I've already got clean pictures of the altered MM1-6 LC title screens -- Geno2925 (talk) 09:27, 29 June 2018 (EDT)

What differences might those be? I saw the Megaman 2 title screen and it looks the same as the original version. ReyVGM (talk) 23:32, 29 June 2018 (EDT)
Legal changes like removing "Licensed by Nintendo" aren't especially interesting. But Anniversary Collection changed the shapes of the roman numerals (II, III, etc) in some of the games' title screens.Theclaw (talk) 01:54, 30 June 2018 (EDT)
Aside from the removal of "Licensed by Nintendo of America INC.", every single game that either had no trademark symbol at all on the title screen, or only had the (R) trademark symbol on it had them changed in some way depending on the collection (at least in the Switch versions of the collections). The games in LC1 replaced them with "TM" trademark symbols. MM1 and MM5 already had TM symbols on them, but 2, 3, and 4 lacked them, so they were added to the title screens in several different ways, with MM6's alteration even resulting in a unique graphic that does not exist in the original release and the alterations to MM2 and MM4 also being slightly interesting compared to the others. All JP versions that had (R) symbols also had them replaced. For the LC2 games, all of the trademark symbols were instead REMOVED, with MM7 also losing its sound options, and MM8 gaining a mysterious 1998 copyright in addition to the previous 96 and 97 ones. If clean captures of the Anniversary Collection versions were possible, those could be added to a comparison as well. At the very least, if the other games aren't "noteworthy" enough to require documentation of the small changes, the ones for MM4, MM6, and MM8 could at least be documented as the changes made to them end up being a teeny bit more interesting than the other games (and the TM addition in MM4 was what made me notice the changes as a whole in the first place) -- Geno2925 (talk) 17:04, 30 June 2018 (EDT)

Graphical Errors

I've made a bugs page for this game, and the guidelines encompass the 'Graphical Errors' from the main section, so I copied it into the bugs page. I'm not sure where it belongs, so I put it in there just to be safe. Can someone clarify which section it should be in please?

Many Thanks,

As far as I can tell, you did everything right, SimLola661! If you're ever unsure about an edit you plan to make or have made, you can always refer to similar pages – in this case, other Bugs pages – and see if you're doing it "right." Really, though? As long as you're clear in your explanations and use section headers (words surrounded by equals signs) properly, you probably are doing it right! :3
However, I should mention that the exact article name is "Mega Man (NES)," not "Mega Man." Don't worry, though! I've already renamed your Bugs page accordingly so everything automatically links. :3
Happy editing!

Thank you SO MUCH for that.

Interview

P: Oh that reminds me, at first the story was going to be about Roll-chan getting kidnapped and having to go save her.
K: Oh yeah! And then in the final stages there would have been a giant Roll-chan that appeared as a boss.
I: Sure, and I bet when she made that praying gesture it would fire a giant laser. (laughs)
P, K: There really was something like that planned!

--FCandChill (talk) 04:20, 2 March 2021 (UTC)

Right. Problem is, no one's really found any evidence that such a boss ever made it to the production phase. However, there is that peculiar Wily Stage leftover that seems out-of-place, so maybe we just haven't dug deep enough…
