So since there's now a beta of X4 floating around, think we'll be looking at that? MightyKombat 22:43, 6 April 2012 (EDT)

I can take a look at it, but I can only go as far as GGD and regular emulation can get me. --Fuzn 18:18, 7 April 2012 (EDT)
Well so far the guys at Sprites Inc have found a few beta sprites for Zero that look different to his current. Check out his Beta Raijingeki (Here: http://www.sprites-inc.co.uk/files/X/X4/Beta/BetaZero/ ) against his current Raijingeki. MightyKombat 12:47, 8 April 2012 (EDT)
There's more at Protodude's Rockman Corner. Seems like it would warrant a proto article. LinkTheLefty 14:36, 8 August 2012 (EDT)

Really, it already warranted one just from the stage changes alone. I just haven't felt like writing one; I've got my hands more than full with fifty billion versions of FF4, and I still want to get back to Goldeneye after that. --Dragonsbrethren 14:54, 8 August 2012 (EDT)

Jumping the Shark

I agree that X4 could be the last "good" game, but I don't see how the term Jumping the Shark actually applies here. Xnamkcor 15:35, 8 July 2012 (EDT)

I'm reading it as the series jumped after this game, in X5. One could argue against that, but X5 was very experimental with its gameplay, slower paced, and marks the turning point where the series because stupidly obsessed with overly wordy stories that no one really cares about in an action game. If there's one definite shark-jumping moment in the series, plot-wise, it's Zero's explanation of why he's more than a torso in X6. Dragonsbrethren 20:34, 26 July 2012 (EDT)
