Talk:Mickey Mouse: Magic Wands!
Is it really necessary to have two screenshots of the same thing? The only difference is that one is in color.--Chpexo 00:16, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
- Yes, so it can be shown that the test stages use the first theme-set. I didn't originally intend to upload the screenshots for Magic Wand because I originally found the levels in Mickey Mouse V where I grabbed the screenshots. Works out either way. Although I'm not sure if having the Mickey Mouse V screenshots up is entirely necessary, it does make things feel more complete. -nensondubois 00:38, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
- I believe just having the SGB screenshots would be fine. Everyone (hopefully) knows that a regular Gameboy displays black and white colors. The SGB colors would not be known to a person who never played the game.--Chpexo 00:42, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
Ok. If it is a huge issue, remove the former images. Also found an unused palette setting for the introduction credits screen, however it needs to be hacked to PAL09 so it will not display in black and white. Doing this stuff tomorrow, if someone cares enough they can remove the images; I will be moved deeply. -nensondubois 01:24, 18 August 2013 (EDT)
If the European and US versions were released in 1998, the intro should be rewritten to indicate that. As it stands, it seems like the European version was released around the same time the Japanese version was.
Also, what's with "(Magic Wand)" in the page header? I know what it's referring to, but why is it there? -WarioBarker 02:57, 19 August 2013 (EDT)
Seemed to fit as with The Real Ghostbusters. I considered making a separate release for Magic Wand, but for consistency I went with how the other game was handled. Also, I think I found out why Gamefaqs lists the dates in a confusing manner for the European version; there is a GB and SGB variant and they used the former date. Both versions remain undumped to the best of my knowledge. -nensondubois 20:14, 19 August 2013 (EDT)
That cartridge variant looks legitimate alright. Never seen it though. -nensondubois 01:41, 20 August 2013 (EDT)
All "Test Stages" are not a copy or similar stages of introduction levels. They ARE those introduction stages and obviously used only for that and have no music or any additional data apart from stage layout and graphics/palettes. When you set C3A0 to any value before the game, you made hack for the unplanned behavior and force that levels to be started as a playable ones. So there are no actually any other unused or test stuff there. all data used in place it should be used. Removing that section.--Cah4e3 (talk) 10:25, 2 November 2018 (EDT)
