Otherwise unseen message text (?)

So. I'm assuming that the North American game plays like the European one when put to English - that is - those few messages you get early at the Career, they're not in the message inbox of the player at any point. Unless there's language selection (like in SLES-53558) and you play in language other than English - in these cases, they interrupt the gameplay and show the text - though localized - but, as the language is not saved to the save file, one can change it to English later and see the original English text of those messages and the Subject. The oil slick one is shared, and thus doesn't produce a duplicate. --PSXDRIVERPLAYER OUT. (talk) 22:58, 13 May 2019 (EDT)

Was the Enzo Ferrari planned to appear?

According to a few rumours, the (seemingly non-existent?) November 2004 pre-release build of the game apparently had references to the Enzo Ferrari as well as a greyscale model of it. It seems like they scrapped it due to Ferrari refusing to give Electronic Arts and Black Box permission, despite Ferrari having appeared in several Need for Speed installments. Is that true?
