Title spelling confusion

This game's title seems to have two different spellings. The title screen and cartridge label seem to say "Pachi Com". But the box art and the programmer rant say "Pachicom". So what would the correct spelling be? Or would they both be right?

I'm planning on making a page for the MSX version so I wanted to be sure. The message in the MSX version also says Pachicom, but the title screen is like the Famicom version. --Rabidabid 18:07, 15 October 2010 (EDT)

I'd just stick with Pachi Com. If you're doing that, though, it may be a good idea to move this to "Pachi Com (Famicom)" and then have "Pachi Com (MSX)". --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 18:09, 15 October 2010 (EDT)

Different writing

While it may seem better formatted to 16 characters wide, having one huge block of text, then another huge block of text is inconsistent with the styling of most other pages with this kind of thing. :| --Xk-sig.png Xkeeper (talk) 20:29, 27 November 2010 (EST)

Alrighty. I just think it's important to have the full, "undisturbed" version of it available, but that might just be the archivist in me talking. That's what the notes page is for anyway so it's no problem. --Rabidabid 21:11, 27 November 2010 (EST)

Sound modification not working

I tried making a copy of the ROM and modifying the bytes specified in the rant, but I could not hear any difference from the unmodified game. I did pay attention to "converting from NES memory mapping to the iNES file offsets," and I tried both FCEUX and Nestopia.

Some troubleshooting questions:

  • Does the modification require real hardware in order to show its effects?
  • Does anyone have the modification available as an IPS or UPS patch?
  • Are there any audio or video recordings of what the game sounds like with the modification working?

Working like a charm. http://cah4e3.shedevr.org.ru/misc/unmod.wav http://cah4e3.shedevr.org.ru/misc/mod.wav --Cah4e3 06:28, 1 December 2010 (EST)
I have added audio files to the article to demonstrate the modification. I will share an IPS patch on romhacking (dot) net soon. --TakuikaNinja (talk) 04:13, 18 December 2020 (UTC)
