A question and some input

I always feel nervous editing others wiki pages so I'll leave this here... I apologize if this is improper.

  • For the unused video part, were these filenames created by the program that was used to view them? I don't see the string anywhere on the disc. This unused video actually occupies the space of the file "DUMMY.DMY" on each disc. It is located at the end of the disc just after the INTER0.STR file data.
  • For the daytime rooms. This is interesting... From all the backgrounds I viewed, I never considered them to be actually connected in some way in-game. It suggests that maybe all these unfinished rooms in the game may actually have been planned rooms, possible alternative versions (lit differently? Possibly using light switches? Different day/time?) but was cut early on so they were never updated with more complete version?
  • I have extracted most, if not all backgrounds for this game. Did this game have a pre-release demo? I'd be interested in taking that one apart too if it exists. Anyway, I found 1,049 backgrounds for disk 1 and 1,275 for disc 2. I compared to the Japanese version. They appear identical, give or take 2-3 backgrounds (but this could have just been due to a quirk in my program). There is a little more than just unfinished rooms. There is also many top-down renders of many rooms with the ceiling and/or roof removed. Some have a green tint applied to the image. A couple are cropped screenshots of the room in the modeling software the developers used. Possible used in the creation of the in-game maps. Here is a link to the extracted backgrounds (excluding the animated, str format ones on disc 1, stage 1 & 2). https://mega.nz/#!XcZ0hAIS!UZHm4ICIMhRerGf7RlWgFDjvxJBjvYH71HPv7F07Qtg Maybe they can be used to improve this games page. --Orin (talk) 22:51, 27 July 2016 (EDT)
No doubt the unfinished rooms were planned for the game, but I think the design might have changed a bit before those backgrounds were completed. The unused rooms do need (more) pictures to go along with them, so I'd say to 3-4 per level just to get an idea. There are also some differences between the unused day backgrounds and the used nighttime backgrounds. Those filenames were found by someone else and are the result of the .str viewing program they used to view those files.--From: divingkataetheweirdo (talk) 00:00, 28 July 2016 (EDT)
