Regarding the intro

I don't want to start an edit war over something so trivial, but I made the changes I did for a reason. I think the existing introduction (which I wrote, years ago) is awkwardly written and largely unnecessary. As I suggested in my previous edit's description, if you're hell-bent on keeping it, rewrite it yourself and I won't change it. Additionally, removing the TOC/clear causes the image in the first section to detach from its description at wider resolutions, so I'd hardly call it "redundant" or "unnecessary".
