Who else has figured out this game's filesystem?

Hey all, I'm a noob-ish hacker, but I've been able to decompress, edit, and recompress this game's zlib files. Through this, I can accomplish very basic worldmap texture hacks (via ohana3ds).

My question is... is there anyone else out there who's found a way to view/extract the data found within the .sar and .spb files? After looking at them with hxd, I can see that they contain references to other files, but I can't mess with them besides that.

Any help anyone can give me would be great.

Japanese Debug File

I translated the Debug file (not with an app, by myself) and I'm just going to leave the original Japanese version here just in case anyone wants to use it for anything.

Debug file translation

It seems most of this text is in katakana, meaning it has a rather direct translation to English. Here's what I could muster up using Google Translate. My notes are in [brackets].

[This segment seems to be testing debug data.]

[Some of the Wii games have numbers like 01 or 02 next to them. I don't know what they mean, but they seem to be used for when tutorial stages are different than the main game, like Air Rally and Double Date. Just keep that in mind.]
[Also, all the Karate Man games are based on the Wii version, so they all show up here.]
[Overall, it seems like they were planning for far more games from Fever to return than the other two games.]

...That should be it. You can leave out my notes in the [brackets] if you'd like to put it on the main page, though the (parenthesis) are all there in the main text too. I just wanted to post it here and make sure everything's alright with it. The preceding unsigned comment was added by DryKirby (talk • contribs)

I don't think it would be ideal to add a machine translation to the page. -Ehm (talk) 17:56, 29 February 2016 (EST)
I understand; that's why I posted it here first. If someone more fluent in the language could help out, that'd be great. --DryKirby (talk) 22:04, 29 February 2016 (EST)

Fillbots 2

While there is a minigame in RHM called Fillbots 2, it's not the same Fillbots 2 as was seen in the DS Rhythm Heaven. For one thing, as noted on the page already, it lacks the second factory image and the small bots. Should this be noted on the page? -M2pt5 (talk) 13:50, 30 June 2016 (EDT)

About one of the Goat's "unused" themes...

I believe the Goat's GROUP_WSD_YAGI_GOLD_2 music IS used in-game, as when you get a Golden Fever, (not the Bronze or Silver Fevers), the music loops and becomes higher pitched.

The GROUP_WSD_YAGI_GOLD_3 music is still unused, to my knowledge. The preceding unsigned comment was added by Otaku-2 (talk • contribs)

Yeah, you were right. Kinda strange, though. I've gotten many Golden Fevers, but never one with the extended song. The page has been edited to remove this inaccuracy. -optiMiskit 21:33, 10 September 2016 (PST)

Unused Practice Themes

In a folder called "RHM" that I downloaded from https://hcs64.com's forums site in the "3DS - Music" section, there are unused practice themes for some of the rhythm games in the "group" folder. Here are the unused ones that I noticed.

GROUP_WSD_TUTORIAL_AGB_PACHI_PACHI (The Clappy Trio 2)

GROUP_WSD_TUTORIAL_AGB_KARATE (Karate Man Returns!)

I couldn't play them in foobar 2000, so you'll need to use a hex editor to make these work properly by their proper parameters.

Any help from anyone would be great so that these can be extracted from the .bcgrp files and put on the site.

-JacintaB20

Unused Karate Man cue

Supposedly there is an unused cue for the "Hit 4" from Karate Man 2 in Fever. I have the image, I'm putting it on the unused graphics subpage right now, but there is supposedly a sound effect to go with it. Can anyone confirm this and upload it? --Dasragnerok (talk) 17:55, 10 March 2021 (UTC)

Bugs Page?

The game has some bugs, such as in Bossa Nova if it is played in Challenge Mode Courses, and in the Final Remix near the end of the Clap Trap segment before Jungle Gymnast. Can anyone find and add all of this game's bugs and make a Bugs page for the game here? --JacintaB20 (talk) 17:55, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

About the Tangotronic banner

I am pretty sure that you can actually see Tangotronic's Japanese banner at the end of the practice in the Japanese version since it zooms out, as shown here. Should it be removed from the page? GreenToxic (talk) 00:49, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
