About the "Unused" 3D Sonic Statue Pictures

If I remember correctly, you could unlock these statue images in the game through the missions. I don't have my copy anymore so I can't really test if these are unused duplicates/additional angles made to work with the 3DS' stereoscopic screen in mind or if they are actually used in-game when the 3DS is in 3D mode.
