Wii Port

A Wii port of this Spy Fox game (titled "Spy Fox Dry Cereal"; I suppose Humongous forgot to add "in" to the title) was made back in 2008. Basically, they took the entire game, bubbly cursor thing and all, made up a new Save and Load function with multiple files for it, and added a special Main Menu with these options, among others. Should a new page be created? Can the Debug Modes still be accessed? How can Quack possibly eat that much blueprint paper?

Find out all the answers and more, in another exciting page editing of... The Cutting Room Floor!

But seriously, should a Wii page be made? AquaBat 21:38, 14 January 2013 (EST)

Considering it's just a hasty third-party contract lazy "port" *cough*bundling unauthorized ScummVM*cough* I don't think it'd be necessary. -HsienKo 22:46, 14 January 2013 (EST)
If all they did was bundle the game with ScummVM, then I agree, there's no point. If the datafiles are the same, then all the debug stuff will likely still be in there. I would however look at the disc's contents to see if they snuck something else in there - remnants of another game, work files, that sorta stuff. // Foxhack 23:00, 14 January 2013 (EST)

Regional Differences

Does the "regional differences" section here really count as regional differences? It's more just being impressed by the fact that there's a UK dub, and it's only one of the ELEVEN that was dubbed in the UK. I think we'd need to cover way more than one dub if this really counts. --Legoking831 23:13, 29 March 2013 (EDT)

Evidently the UK version of the game, and I think some later US releases, redubs all of the dialogue with English voice actors. Could we mention this somewhere? N. Onymous (talk) 10:26, 10 November 2013 (EST)

I put that information on the article when I initially created it, but someone decided (and I now agree) that it's just a standard localization change that's no more noteworthy than any of the foreign-language dubs. There's actually already a message on this page about it. Supper (talk) 14:28, 10 November 2013 (EST)

other then it being dubbed does the uk version differ from ours in anyway? also the first freddie fish game was at least planned for wii The preceding unsigned comment was added by mrkoolnerd (talk • contribs)

Very little. The opening logos are changed around a bit and the game is forced into Slow Machine Mode (a special mode that is used when your VGA card is considered too slow). There are also a few cosmetic changes, such as the nickel now being a British penny and the white house now being parliament. Other than that, though, there aren't a whole lot of changes, and if you really think those are worth pointing out, please research the other dubs before making a "regional differences" section. Also, the first Freddi Fish game WAS released on the Wii. See for yourself: [1]. Also, just like Foxhack said above, it's near identical to the PC version, they just slapped together a ScummVM build and called it a day. It does not need a page. --Legoking831 (talk) 19:54, 6 February 2014 (EST)

Unused Dialog

Any volunteers to search through the all the .HE2 files of all the HE games in search of unused dialog? I think that we should include this section, but we'd have to include more for other HE games, which is as impracticable as it sounds. when i was young i got a demonstration cd in dutch and it had the unused dialogue translated and working also the demo stopped at the piranha part the entire segment of monkey penny was used in it and the sir don't talk to me part was used as well unfortunately i dont have the demo cd anymore but when i find it again or find it at a fleemarket i will dump it for you all The preceding unsigned comment was added by jzneter (talk • contribs)

Alleged Humongous easter eggs from Youtube Comment

SFiDC-Humongouscomment.png

Spotted on an OddHeader video. This caught my attention because I don't recognize any of these, but at the same time they're too specific to sound made up. We already know that Humongous games have weird easter egg scenes with questionable content already accessed in the aforementioned manner, so these don't feel too farfetched. The Pajama Sam one sounds like an already well-known easter egg, and may be a slightly misremembered recollection of it. However, the Spy Fox one and the Blue's Clues ones don't seem to be documented (if they even exist at all). On Donovan Patton's (read: Joe from Blue's Clues) Wikipedia page, he states:

"I am convinced that I got that part because of a Christopher Walken impression I sometimes do. There's a tape out there, somewhere, with both Steve Burns and myself doing a Blue's Clues scene both as Christopher Walken, which we did at the screen test. I haven't seen the tape, but I know somewhere it still exists"

So maybe there's some crossed wires with that or it may just be a fabrication using snippets of real info. Who knows? I just found this interesting as someone who grew up with the Pajama Sam and Blue's Clues games.

Also, the Spy Fox one is so bizarre that I feel like we as a society need to have it revealed for all to see. - Smedis2
