Maybe used?

Doesn't the first Mario Galaxy have a "Super Guide" sort of mode, where a ghostly Luigi shows up to show the player how to play? If so, these timers might be used to determine the input video playback time or some such. {EspyoT} 16:34, 29 July 2019 (EDT)

No, that does not exist in SMG1. This field - LuigiModeTimer - is never loaded by the game. SunakazeKun (talk) 16:55, 29 July 2019 (EDT)
You seem to be mixing up some memories of other games. New Super Mario Bros Wii is the one that had the Super Guide feature where Luigi would complete courses for the player. The ghostly Luigi shows up in Super Mario Galaxy 2, but he's not a Super Guide, rather a Mario Kart-style Staff Ghost (the actual Super Guide in Super Mario Galaxy 2 was a Cosmic version of Rosalina who would possess Mario and complete the level for him instead). Neither the Super Guide nor the Luigi Staff Ghost appears in the original Mario Galaxy. --Burb (talk) 18:11, 29 July 2019 (EDT)
